There are too many people in my life i love dearly that sometimes i forget to include myself on the list. I once promised myself not to let anything do a damage to my heart, and from now on i'll try harder to keep that promise :)

Hongkong cafe

Again, thank you Angela Ferany for the opportunity. And especially, thank you for believing in me, more than i do myself :)

I was thrilled when being asked to do the mural designs for
Hongkong Cafe.
A big project involving seven big walls inside the restaurant, and an art-loving owner, those were enough to increase the "can-i-really-do-this" feeling deep inside *yes, damn you insecurities* :p

The outlet in Jalan Sunda

The previously very-nice-mural (and i had to do better than this >.<)

Sketches, layouts, references, colour guides, grids, all in approximately 2 months work

And finally, we started to paint the walls! Big thanks for mas Doy and team, they're the ones who transferred the designs onto the walls and i just do some supervision heheheh :p (We're lucky to have mas Doy on the team because he worked superfast, much more faster than i usually do when painting walls >.<, and plus i don't have the guts to climb and paint the main dining wall hahahah)

After thinking hard what to draw finally i chose this strawberry shortcake Cathedral in Moskwa, with vanilla ice cream and lollipop on top! :D

When you look at a star, or at an unknown planet shining up there in the sky, have you ever wondered, maybe, on that very planet you are staring at, there are also creatures currently staring at our planet earth, wondering if there's any aliens inhabiting it :)

I have a favourite "Clockwork Orange" t-shirt, which i am reluctant to wear lately, because it is similar to the Jakmania's uniform. FYI, Jakmania is a group of Jakarta's soccer supporters whose attitude is like....a group of bastards *sorry* :p (just like Alex and his droogies, pre-medication, i think) :))

Actually inspiration comes from anywhere, but today i decided to draw my number one-favourite artist, May Ann Licudine, who can produce magic out of her pencil tip *hats off* :)

29 years ago, my mom and dad started this journey, two years later i decided to join them,and in another two years we have my sister on the team :)
And we've been sticking together since then, and i hope for many years to come :) Love them to death :)

Dad, born in the year of dragon; ma, born in the year of horse; my sister, born in the year of ox, and now you now who's that idiotic-looking pig in the middle :p

is to have done 12 days of the 30-days-drawing challenge. 18 days to go. argh :(

day 11- turning point in my life...

...is the day i decided to resign from the advertising agency and became a freelancer. Never been happier. Thank you so much to Faldiaz Bachtiar, who opened my eyes (and gave me the resignation letter template) :))
